The Association of Wine Museums of Spain elects a new Board of Directors

The General Assembly of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain, celebrated in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona), has renewed the Board of Directors of the entity for a new stage of work and collaboration between the associated museums. Juan Carlos Rodríguez, coordinator of the Chiclana de la Frontera Wine and Salt Interpretation Center, has been elected president of the Association.

The General Assembly of the Wine Museums Association of Spain, held in San Sadurní (Barcelona), has chosen Juan Carlos Rodríguez, coordinator of the Chiclana de la Frontera Wine and Salt Interpretation Center, as the new president of the entity.

His appointment took place within the framework of the XXII Symposium of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain, an annual event that brought together museum representatives, interpretation centers and professionals linked to wine culture throughout the country. Under the motto «The impact of digital technologies on museums», The meeting served to analyze the challenges and opportunities offered by digital transformation in areas such as heritage conservation, interpretation of collections, communication with audiences and improving the visitor experience.

Along with the election of the new Presidency, The Assembly renewed the Board of Directors of the Association, which will be made up of representatives from different Spanish wine museums:

  • President: Juan Carlos Rodríguez – Wine and Salt Interpretation Center (Chiclana de la Frontera)
  • Vice President: Beatriz Hernando – Ribiertete
  • Treasurer: Vanessa Robles – Malaga Wine Museum
  • Secretary: Aurora Quintana – Bullas Wine Museum
  • Vocal: Joan Capellades – Cava Center of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia

The new Board of Directors begins a stage marked by the commitment to strengthen collaboration between associated museums, promote cooperation projects and promote the exchange of experiences and good practices. Its objectives also include continuing to give visibility to the Spanish wine heritage and consolidating the role of wine museums as conservation spaces., investigation, cultural education and promotion.

The Association of Wine Museums of Spain brings together museums, interpretation centers and entities dedicated to the dissemination of wine culture, constituting a collaboration network that contributes to preserving and disseminating one of the most representative cultural heritages of our country.
