Sant Sadurní will host the XXII Symposium of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain

The Cava Center, managed by the Tourism Service of the Sant Sadurní d’Anoia City Council, will organize 19 al 22 May the XXII Symposium of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain (hear), which will bring together representatives of 19 wine museums throughout the Spanish State.

The meeting, under the title «The museum and technologies today. Use and impact», will make Sant Sadurní a reference point for debate and professional exchange on the future of wine and cultural heritage museums, in a technology-focused edition, innovation and new digital tools applied to museum equipment.

The technical program will have the participation of top-level professionals and specialists in the field of digitalization, artificial intelligence and immersive experiences applied to cultural heritage. Featured speakers will include Concha Rodà, co-director of the International Congress of Museums and Digital Strategies (CIMED); Javier Pantoja, responsible for technologies and strategy for museums at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center; Xavier Ulled, technical director of the Observatorio dels Públics del Patrimonio Cultural de Catalunya; Patricia Andres, digital communication and AI consultant; Albert Sierra, innovation manager of the Catalan Cultural Heritage Agency; Luis Gonzalez, responsible for 3D documentation of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage; Jordi Sellas, director of the IDEAL Center d'Arts Digitals of Barcelona.

During the conference, activities will also be carried out to promote Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and the territory of Penedès among the attending professionals.. The program includes cultural and heritage visits to the Cava Center, quail, Gramona, Vinseum and the Chocolate Space Simón Coll, as well as commented tastings of sparkling wines and experiences linked to the gastronomy and heritage of the territory..

further, The Symposium will host the annual assembly of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain and the award ceremony Enosofía prize to the renowned winemaker and communicator Joaquín Gálvez.

The organization of the Symposium reinforces the role of wine museums as preservation spaces, dissemination and cultural innovation, and consolidates the Association of Wine Museums of Spain as a platform for cooperation and exchange of knowledge between specialized facilities throughout the State. In addition, The event contributes to reaffirming Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and the Cava Center as leading actors in the promotion of wine heritage and cultural tourism.
